The purpose of the agreement is a meaningful and positive move for SBI and RILSA to support, advance the development of the game in particular in relation to Ladies Snooker

A working group of six people was set up some time ago with the full support of Sport Ireland to work together in the best interest of Irish Ladies snooker.

The agreement is now in place for the next two years and the working group will strive for a successful future for Ladies Snooker as well as look at the development of Disability Snooker.

Representing SBI was its Chairman Dylan Rees, Secretary Derek Kiely and Council member Tom O Driscoll and representing RILSA were its Chairman Dan Carroll, Secretary Dave Earle and President Annette Newman.

The agreement was signed in the proposed new SBI Centre of Excellence Academy in Carlow and there was a definite air of optimism for the future.
