The 2018 World Billiards Championship in Association will take place at the Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds, England between the 22nd – 26th October

The Republic Of Ireland player is Aidan Murray and the Referees will be Brendan Devlin and John Kehoe. RIBSA Chairman Jim Leacy will also be in attendance in his capacity as a Director of World Billiards Ltd.

Myers retains Timmy Murphy Memorial Billiards

The 4th Annual Timmy Murphy Memorial billiards tournament took place on Sunday 4th November in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club in Carlow. 16 players took part to play in the event in memory of the billiards gentlemen from Cork who passed away over 3 years ago and the Cork connection in this special occasion is as strong as ever as his fellow Corkonian and AOH clubmate Lloyd Myers retained the trophy in emphatic fashion playing consistent billiards and winning all his matches comprehensively.

The second RIBSA Billiards ranking event of the season took place on Sunday 7th October in Celbridge snooker club in Co. Kildare. This event was a 400up untimed format with a seeded draw and 13 players entered.

Doyle wins Billiards Event 1

The first RIBSA billiards ranking event of the season took place on Sunday 23rd September in Ivy Rooms Snooker Club in Carlow.This was an open draw and the best of 3-150up stage. Early eliminations were Tommy Denniffe (Kilkenny Shed), Robert McCrum (Celbridge) and Aonghus McAnally (Portmarnock).
