Morris Wins RIBSA Shoot Out
Former Professional Davy Morris from the Kilkenny Shed won the inaugural Republic of Billiards & Snooker Association Shoot Out when he beat John Torpey from St John’s Limerick on Saturday the 30th of November in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club in Carlow.
Kilkenny Shed retain Leinster Club Title
Congratulations to the Kilkenny Shed team of James Bateman, Stephen Bateman, Davy Morris, John O Sullivan and Benny O Brien on retaining their Leinster Club Championship title in the Ivy Rooms SC in Carlow over the weekend.
Leinster Win 2019 Inter Provincials Series
The Leinster Team won the 2019 Inter Provincials on the Saturday 21st of September in the Ivy Rooms SC. This event featured teams from Leinster, Connacht, Munster and Dublin.

WORLD BILLIARDS LIMITED, organisers of prestigious world wide billiards tournaments would be interested to hear from clubs within RIBSA’s area of jurisdiction who might wish to host the Irish Open and/or European Open billiards events, provisionally scheduled for mid-to-late May. World champions, past and present, together with the worlds top players are regular entries to these events.
Deepest Sympathy
Everyone involved in Irish snooker will be saddened to hear Paddy Murray from Edenderry passed away this morning. Paddy was a members of Edenderry Snooker Club and the brother of our current RIBSA Chairman Ger Murray.
Goggins/Morrissey Win National Doubles Title
The 2019 RIBSA National Doubles Snooker Championship was held in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club in Carlow on Saturday the 30th of August. Due to the late finish the final was delayed until Tuesday Night the 3rd of September at 7pm in the Ivy Rooms SC in Carlow.
RIBSA Successful Golf Day Held
The Republic of Ireland Billiards & Snooker Association would like to thank all the Players and Sponsors who supported the RIBSA Golf Day in support of Disability Snooker on Saturday the 24th of August in the beautiful Beaufort Golf Club Killarney.
Inter Provincials
The 2019 Inter Provincials are scheduled to be held on the 21st & 22nd of September in the Ivy Rooms SC. The event was last held in 2015 when Team Ulster won the title.
Rathkeale SC win Club Draw
The Republic of Ireland Billiards & Snooker Association held a draw for a set of Snooker Balls for all current Registered Clubs on Saturday 13th of July during the International Training Camp in the Ivy Rooms SC in Carlow.

RIBSA would like to remind all the players / officials traveling to the 2019 Home Internationals in Leeds to print off their boarding cards and to meet in Dublin airport at least 3hrs before your departure time due to this been the busiest time in Airport.
RIBSA Club of the Year
President Jim Leacy from the Republic of Ireland Billiards & Snooker Association (RIBSA) presented the 2018 RIBSA Club of the year award to R & R SC Donal McGuirk on Saturday the 22nd of June during the Celtic Challenge in the Ivy Rooms Snooker Club in Carlow.
