SBI Challenge Event 3 Q-Finals Limerick
Snooker & Billiards Ireland (SBI) would like to announce details of the SBI Challenge Tour Event 3 Q- Finals that will be held in St John’s in Limerick on Sunday 25th Feb at 10am. The TD will be Tommy O Donoghue.
Ivor Wins Challenge Event 2
The second National SBI Challenge Ranking Event of the season was held in the SBI Academy in Carlow on Saturday the 11th of November. Due to the large Entry, this event was stopped at the Quarter-finals stage and was played out to its conclusion on the 25th November in the SBI HQ in Carlow with play beginning at 2pm.
Doran Wins Challenge Event 1
Adrian Doran from Liam Mellows SC Wexford won the first National Challenge Ranking event of the season in the SBI Academy of Excellence in Carlow on Sunday 8th of October.
Delaney Wins National Challenge Championship
Darren Delaney won the 2023 National Challenge Championship in the New Institute Snooker Club in Nenagh on Tuesday the 16th of May. In the final Darren played Clubmate Dave Garrett in a great final.
SBI Challenge Tour National Championships
Snooker & Billiards Ireland (SBI) would like to announce the date and venue for the National Challenge Championships on the Saturday the weekend of 13th – 14th of May in Nenagh. This will be a two day event depending on entries.
Fitzpatrick Wins Challenge 4
On Saturday the 1st of April, Celbridge Snooker Club hosted the fourth event in the SBI Challenge Tour series. This was highly competitive event which saw Ivor Fitzpatrick and Pat Fitzgerald go head to head in the final on Thursday 6th April at 2:30pm due to the late finish off the semis.
Nolan wins SBI Challenge Event 3
On Sunday the 26th of February, CYMS Newbridge was the venue for the third event in the SBI Challenge Tour series. This was a change from the original scheduled location, which was not available due to on-going alterations work at the Crucible Club in Cork. Play started at 10am, with a total participation of 21 players.
Garrett Wins Challenge Event 2
Snooker & Billiards Ireland (SBI) held the second challenge event on the SBI Challenge Tour on the Saturday the 12th of November in the Hot Shots Snooker Club in Galway.
Ben Doyle wins Challenge Event 1
Ben Doyle from Enniscorthy in County Wexford won the first SBI challenge Ranking event of the season that took place on Saturday 24th September at the Snooker and Billiards Ireland Academy of Excellence in Carlow. 11 players entered and featured matches of high quality snooker.
O Connor Wins National Challenge Championships
Alan O Connor from Cork won the won the 2022 Snooker and Billiards Ireland National Challenge Snooker Championships in the HQ on Saturday the 21st of May in the SBI HQ in Carlow. In the final Alan beat Tommy O Donoghue from St John’s Limerick 4 frames to 3 in an exciting final which was refereed by Ritchie Toal.
National Challenge Championships
Last Saturday the 7th of May at SBI Headquarters in carlow the first day of the challenge championships took place. 27 players started out and by the end of the day we were down to the final 4. First round results went more or less as expected but that doesn’t mean there weren’t close matches.
SBI Challenge Tour Championships
Snooker & Billiards Ireland (SBI) would like to announce details on the SBI Challenge Tour Championships which will be held this season in the Snooker & Billiards Ireland HQ Academy of Excellence in Carlow on the 7th of May. The final stages of this Championship will be played during finals weekend on 21st-22nd May. The TD will announce this during the event.
